Performance Dates for 2023

Enchanting are a mixed choir of a capella singers who specialise in Christmas music. They are a mixture of professional and amateur musicians of British and Swedish nationality, and normally practice for nine months of the year prior to a series of concerts in early December.

Formed in 2013 by the musical director Brogan Scott, the size of the choir has varied over the years with nine singers performing at their last concerts in December 2022. The choir has recently commenced rehearsals for their 2023 concert series.

Originally a five-piece ensemble, the choir now has ten members – seven ladies and three gentlemen. Six of the seven British members live and work in the greater Peterborough area, one lives in Crewe, and the Swedish members are based in the Greater Jonkoping area.

Rehearsing with the choir in both Sweden and the UK is a challenge, but using a mixture of telephone and video technology has worked well enough in the past, and the members are now well used to this. Enchanting specialise in Christmas music, which includes a selection of sacred choral, classical, swing, gospel, traditional, folk, fun, contemporary, modern ballad, and Gregorian chant.
